Working with Love It Or List It on this Perth home, we created the new layout, packed in storage solutions, selected the finishes and styled everything for the big reveal in Series 4, episode 10 (Karrinyup).

Spatial planning We rejigged their floorplan to bring their dining area closer to the kitchen and create a huge opening onto a new deck. We also gave them an extra bedroom, turning their house into a more useable ‘3 bedroom plus study’ either for them to grow into, or for easier resale. Storage solutions The new floorplan meant that the TV was on the same wall as the kitchen. We carried joinery across the whole wall, allowing the living room storage to be used for either the kitchen or living. We also refreshed their hallway storage and included a built-in robe and storage under the window seat in the new bedroom.

Selections The homeowners love blue but wanted the more long-term features of the home to be neutral. Blue was introduced in elements that are easily changeable such as the kitchen splashback, the entertainment unit benchtop and the bedroom wall colour.

Styling Once the renovation was complete, we added furniture, soft furnishings and home décor with layers of texture, neutrals and colour. We combined new and existing pieces to bring this home to life.
