Working with Love It Or List It on this Melbourne home, we created the new layout, selected the finishes and styled everything for the big reveal in Series 4, episode 9 (Blackburn South).

Spatial planning We repurposed an unused carport to give the homeowners an entertaining space with a large dining area and third living room. A fresh take on their old kitchen provided a casual meals area so they were no longer crammed in the corner. Check out the before and after floor plans to see our magic wand at work.

Storage solutions The refined kitchen design allowed us to double the pantry storage, conceal bins and add an integrated meals table. Keeping the appliances and sink in the same locations reduced costs on a tight budget. Working with the original island location meant that we saved further by not having to refinish the floors. We also included a stylish wall of storage in the new dining area.

Selections For us, the highlight of this renovation is the stunning wall colour in the new dining and living area. When combined with the warm tones of the luxury vinyl floor planks, the space is both practical and pleasing to the eye.

Styling Once the renovation was complete, we added furniture, soft furnishings and home décor with layers of texture, neutrals and colour. We combined new and existing pieces to bring this home to life.
